ARURF is back. The most fun and fast-paced game mode in League of Legends is available again, albeit for a limited time.

Today's, yes, could very well have happened in a Summoner's Rift regular game. But it was not like that, it happened in ARURF, as evidenced by the 126 deaths on the scoreboard. It is a very tight base race between Kai'Sa and Twisted Fate that ends up ending in the last millisecond -literally- in favor of the second. It is not an exaggeration; victory was decided a millimeter away.

Pay attention to Kai'Sa's last attack and the distance she had to go to hit the enemy nexus.

Kai'Sa didn't seem to care about anything, neither Twisted Fate's run, nor the enemy Leona, nor Lux's ulti that she threw at her chest without even flinching. He just wanted to destroy that nexus at any cost. And when it seems that he had it done, the camera quickly moves to his own base to settle the impromptu time trial.

As some users on Reddit point out, if only he had gotten a little closer to the nexus, the last attack would have had to travel less distance and, therefore, the victory would have been for his team. Too bad that in the excitement of the moment this detail was overlooked, but he can always console himself with having starred in what is possibly the most even base race in the history of the game.
