Mustang protagonist of Charlie's Angels - Gentleman MX
Ford Mustang is one of the most important vehicles in the history of the automotive industry and also an icon of series and movies, and of course pop culture. It was presented at the New York fair in 1964, since then, songs in its honor and even a nail varnish with the colors of this pony car, the Mustang has become the ally of many stars of movies and series of television.
Ford Mustang has been featured in more than 500 movies and hundreds of television shows. One of the first appearances was in the agent movie 007: Goldfinger, in which the first generation of the Ford Mustang makes its appearance, while they chase the protagonist of the film in an action scene. After this, it was painted Dark Highland green to go down in history in the Bullitt movie, starring Steve McQueen, who drove this vehicle during one of the first chase scenes ever recorded on film, which lasted approximately 10 minutes.
By the 1970s, the Mustang was already a big name in the automotive industry, which is why 44 years after the premiere of the original Charlie's Angels series we can still remember Jill Munroe, the character characterized by Farrah Fawcett , in many action scenes with his white and blue Mustang II Cobra II.
Similarly, in 1974, a 1973 “Eleanor” built by the director of the film 60 seconds makes its appearance during a 40-minute chase, which ends with a spectacular jump from our 4-wheeled protagonist, and which was so strong the fall the pilot suffered a compression of his spine.
Perhaps one of the most curious Mustangs in the movies, as well as unnoticed by some people, is the “2015” model that made its appearance in the 80's film series, Back to the Future during Marty McFly's tour of the same year, and it is seen under the billboard that announces “Tiburón 19” which is definitely not one of the best concepts, but a unique one. In 1999 in the tape "True Crime" we see a 1983 Mustang convertible was Clint Eastwood's vehicle throughout history.
In more recent times, in the 2014 video game-inspired film Need For Speed, the film's longtime protagonist is a 2013 Mustang that was Carroll Shelby's “last project” before his departure. Unfortunately this car ends its life before the final race, however upon completion the 2015 model makes its debut.
