The Mediterranean Center is reinforced: Tommy Hilfiger, Pepco, Levi's and Popeyes

The Mediterráneo Shopping Center takes a breather to maintain its market share after the appearance three years ago of the competitor Bogaris with the Torrecárdenas Shopping Center. The Tomás Olivo complex, on Avenida del Mediterráneo, has opened two new establishments dedicated to textiles: Tommy Hilfiger and Pepco . The first brand is an American multinational founded in 1985 specializing in youth clothing and footwear with a turnover of 7,000 million dollars worldwide. Until now, some establishments on the Paseo de Almería have agreements to market products from this listed brand, such as Modas J. González, Calzados Plaza Suizos and Dewe.

Pepco, which has opened its doors alongside its competitor C&A, is considered the Polish 'Primark' and has starred in a spiral of new openings throughout the Spanish territory in recent months. It was founded in 2004 and has just opened in Lorca's Almenara Park.

In the near future, the landing of a store of the classic Levi Strauss pants, specialized in the sale of sports pants since its foundation in 1873, is planned as the pioneer trade in this type of garment that has become a legend over the years. clothing with more than 500 stores worldwide in more than one hundred countries.

El Centro Mediterráneo se refuerza: Tommy Hilfiger, Pepco, Levi,s y Popeyes

Another of the establishments that will come to give life to General de Galerías, the company that promotes the premises and spaces, is Popeyes, a fried chicken chain that will occupy the space that was destined for the McDonalds hamburger restaurant with a children's playground next to it. .

For General de Galería it was a particularly hard moment when the Inditex chain left the shopping center with most of its brands such as Zara, Massimo Dutti, Berskha, Oysho and Zara Home, to move to the Sevillian Charlo Business Park in September 2018. The only remaining trace of Amancio Ortega 's passage through the Olivo complex is the Stradivarius clothing chain.

The Mediterráneo Shopping Center , with 140,000 meters built, was inaugurated in 1998 with an investment of 14,000 million pesetas. Four years later, General de Galerías opened the Gran Plaza de Roquetas, the largest shopping center in Andalusia at the time.
