Successful designer from Guanajuato now makes clothes for pets
Leon, Guanajuato. Her training as a fashion designer led Yareli Guzmán González to turn her talent into clothing for pets.
Along with her, her pieces are designed by Roo Aguilar who has brought her talent to Brussels among the teams that make monumental flower rugs.
Originally from Moroleón, Guzmán González took the experience of her parents who are dedicated to making knitwear to launch her brand My Little Friend.
Her project started as a pet shelter, she opened a veterinary clinic to maintain the shelter. By separating the clinic, she decided to start manufacturing.
The firm has been in the market for four years, she explains that her project was born out of love for puppies.
Among the products that she makes are sweaters, vests and jackets with current designs.
The workshop has the capacity to manufacture 500 pieces per month, with the collaboration of 15 people. Before the end of the year she plans to set up a site for sales.
