Saúl Craviotto, new Hockerty ambassador for 2022
Dec 29, 2021
The Spanish fashion firm Hockerty, a digital pure player founded in 2008 that likes to distinguish itself as Europe's leading manufacturer of made-to-measure garments, has chosen the athlete and Olympic medalist Saúl Craviotto as the brand's new ambassador for the entire season of 2022. A choice with which the firm tries to demonstrate its clear commitment to consolidate itself in its native market, a Spain in which it also manufactures a large part of some collections that, through its digital platform, end up distributing and making available of consumers from different parts of the world.
Thanks to his choice, the firm will be in charge of dressing Craviotto throughout this next year of 2022 with its complete proposal of custom-made garments. Some pieces that are at the core of its business model, and that the athlete has already had the opportunity to show off on different occasions throughout this final stretch of the year, such as during the Men of the Year awards ceremony organized by GQ magazine at the end of last November, or during the ceremony organized by Diario As in mid-December.
"Saúl Craviotto is the greatest Spanish Olympic medalist and an example for all due to his sportsmanship, his strength of self-improvement and his way of being", Alberto Gil, one of the three co-founders of Hockerty, began to highlight through a statement released from the fashion house itself. “He has managed to reach everyone precisely because of that ambitious personality but above all close and polite”. Some characteristics that will make him, predicts Gil, "a great ambassador for Hockerty" in all "the events he attends" and for which "we are going to make him the best tailored clothing possible". “In addition, he will wear the clothes because he wants to, not because there is a signed contract,” Gil goes on to detail. "This relationship would not be possible if he did not feel comfortable and was forced to wear Hockerty."
“Wearing tailored clothing makes me feel better, more comfortable with myself, more agile”, explains Craviotto himself in this same sense. "Besides, I have a peculiar body being an athlete", with an "upper trunk" in which "I am stronger than my leg". For this reason, "having the possibility of wearing custom-made, comfortable and sustainable clothes is very pleasant and I feel safe with myself," pointed out the medalist, in relation to a collaboration that is also being reinforced by the design of some fabrics inspired by the athlete's own kayak.
With a turnover of more than 20 million euros by 2021
Founded in 2008 by three young Catalans and specializing in the online sale of men's fashion clothing and made-to-measure footwear —women's pieces are marketed through its sister platform Samissura—, Hockerty currently has one teams made up of more than 60 workers spread across its offices in Zürich, Barcelona and Shanghai. Structures with which, over the years, they have managed to satisfy the demand of more than 250,000 customers from a total of 142 countries, and which have allowed the company to face the next end of 2021 with a turnover that they estimate that it will end up being above 20 million euros.
