The Salsa Gaucha brand conquers Spanish artists and Boro presents its new Japanese-inspired collection

28 Aug 2021. Updated at 05:00 a.m.WhatsappMailFacebookTwitterComment ·

Since Ourenses Noelia Rodríguez and Lora González opened their two clothing brands, they have not stopped growing. With Salsa Gaucha they propose "retrorural" clothing, which they call it. Garments with classic cuts, of a lifetime, and vintage inspiration, to which they add modern designs linked to the present. With Boro they make clothing collections inspired by Japanese culture, recovering the typical clothing of the Japanese country, adapting them to urban clothing, to the way of dressing in Spain. In both they bet on very defined values. "We look for diversity in bodies, that our clothes are worth everyone," explains Noelia. And that, in addition to a careful and different design, is what has already convinced women like the comedians Carolina Iglesias and Victoria Martín, the artist Vinila von Bismark or the content creator Mara Jiménez, who has just worn the black Salsa Gaucha skirt in their social networks as Croquetmente. "For us that these women wear our clothes and like them, it is a pleasure, because we admire them a lot," admits the Ourense. Her firms also defend slow fashion, a way of producing clothes that are more responsible with the environment, which consists of making few first-class garments and making them mostly to order. "This way of producing allows us to adapt to the measurements of each person, so that the garment always feels good," she adds.

Now they have just presented the new Boro collection, based on the Enzo design, for which they have had the collaboration of another female artist, Mounqup. “We work with Camille a lot because we have a very good relationship with her. We have long thought about growing up at the same time, she acts as a model for us and we dress her for some of her performances or video clips of her. She is a wonder », she explains. This new Boro collection, the autumn-winter 2021 collection, proposes simple garments, full of spirituality and designed in dark tones. All of them are unisex. The star piece? Kurayami suit. “She is our spoiled girl. It is a set in velvet with Japanese pankou buttons. We say that it is the suit to go to collect the Goya », she jokes. Or whatever comes. Check it out on her website!
