Far from being the Poirot cuckoo. The employment, consumption and development it generates to sell to the world

The Fada monitor shows that the cow meat chain generates more than 100,000 jobs in its export circuit.“This is just an example, since the creation of jobs is replicated in all agribusiness chains and implies jobs of different types, says Nicolle Pisani Claro, Fada economist. When talking about what agribusiness exports, it must be made visible that it is not an activity inherent only to the field or industry, it directly or indirectly benefits most of our families. ”

“For example, to sell meat, grapes and wheat to the outside, more than 300,000 jobs are generated.Without exports, all those workers and their families would not have income to live.In turn, that income allows us to consume other goods and services of daily life where there are thousands and thousands of more jobs, which support thousands and thousands of families, ”says David Miazzo, chief economist of Fada.

The report also reveals that, in 96 countries they enjoy our wines, grapes and derivatives and that with our corn we reach 89 countries. In addition, we are present in the chopped and meals of more than 65 countries with our peanuts, oil and derivatives."It is a pride to be in this infinity of countries, but more importantly it is to repair in Argentine jobs that involves selling to other countries," says Pisani Claro.

“From the countryside to reach other countries, the product or derivative goes through different items giving employment to both rural areas and cities. For example, field workers, trade that sells inputs, transportation, industry, service stations, port and customs. In the middle, agronomists, veterinarians, accounting, administrative, maintenance and cleaning personnel, technology services, etc. were also needed. In addition to the indirect jobs that derive from each of the items named, ”details Fada economists.

They are not only numbers, it is development

“Lejos de ser el cuco”. El empleo, consumo y desarrollo que genera venderle al mundo

Agroindustrial exports of recent months were 69% of the country's total exports. That is, 7 out of 10 dollars enter the country for sales to the world. In money, there were more than 38 billion dollars that entered."For our families they seem distant figures, but the key point is that in employment were thousands of workers who obtain new jobs or maintain their jobs thanks to the export circuit," says Miazzo.

Of the more than 38 billion dollars generated from these agro -industrial sales, 68% come from the granary chains, 16.5% of regional economies, 9.5% meats, 3% dairy products and 3% of other products.“In all these complexes there is an immense repertoire that goes from grains, yerbof the country, ”explains Pisani Claro.

“The complexes we choose to analyze followed two criteria: on the one hand, that are significant in terms of volume of exports, but, on the other, what it represents for a particular region. To give an example, tea represents 0.3% of the country's exports, but when one sees what this production represents for the NEA, it is unquestionable that it is necessary to study it.This is the federal vision that this work maintains, ”says the economist.

"This throws down one of the myths around this issue, demonstrating that export does not impoverish since, on the contrary, it is productive wealth generating more wealth for the economy to the wide and length of the country," says Miazzo.

Achieves for us and for the world

In relation to the fear or myth that everything goes outside, the study reveals that the capacity and volume of production of Argentina reaches to supply the table of each Argentine and, in turn, that our products are in the homes of more than more than160 countries.“It reaches us for both of us, to give a couple of examples: we consume 50kg.Of cow meat per person a year, therefore, we are supplied and at the same time it reaches us to export 29% of the production.Something similar happens with wheat, we consume 72 kg.per person a year and export 59% of wheat production. One thing does not remove the other.Argentina does not have a problem of food production but a problem of distribution and economic access to food, ”says Pisani Claro."Therefore, the most important thing is to produce more and export more to generate more employment," adds Miazzo.

What position do we occupy in the world?

This monitor that is defined as "the explorer of the agroindustrial complexes", presents a podium of Argentina's position in the world market that marks that we are the first world exporter of grass, oil and soybean, peanut and lemon juice.Seconds of corn.Third parties to export pears, beans and soybeans. We are rooms in sunflower oil, powdered milk, tea, shrimp and prawns. We are fifths in export of wool and cow meat. And the list continues, since the study analyzes 20 agroindustrial chains.

"Regarding the previous measurement, there were certain" climbs "in the ranking, it is the case of pork, with which we pass from the 25th to 11th position, also the powdered milk, with which we pass from the 5thAt 4th place or the lemons, with which we were in 7th place and now we went to 6 ”, confirms Nicolle Pisani Claro, Fada economist.Of the 20 complexes analyzed, pork exports (71%), peanuts (27%), dairy (23%), yerba (7%), legumes (2%), corn (2%), pears and pears, pears and pears, apples (2%).

Fada economists also explain why do we all need exports daily in our homes?“Because when we sell outside grains, meat, fruits, legumes, etc., enter the money we need to buy what we do not produce here.“Many of the things we consume daily do not produce them, so we need the other countries to buy our grains, oils, wines, wool, meats, so that among that money we then use to be able to have netflix, cars, clothes or to travel.

In addition, with those currencies that enter, it is possible to operate other items that need the dollars generated by agriculture. In this way, thousands and thousands of jobs are generated in industrial fields that could not otherwise operate.

“The more export, together with other aspects, it helps avoid crisis. How?Exporting more, collaborates in preventing us from staying without dollars, which decreases the risk of devaluations and helps not to bind ourselves. ”

"With exports we benefit all Argentines, because they give each of us employment, better services, infrastructure, health, etc., help avoid crisis and allow the arrival of products that we do not make here," concludes the sources ofFada.

The "Agroindustrial Export Monitor" is presented as a tool that allows us to quickly visualize the great export potential of our Argentina: what do we produce, for whom, how much they buy us, what benefits us to produce for us and for the world. There are multiple myths around the benefits or damages of exports and the Fada study contributes to light with data and analysis.
