Caeleb Dressel ha sido la gran estrella de esta madrugada en los Juegos Olímpicos. El americano se ha llevado el oro en los 100m libres con récord olímpico incluído, por delante de Chalmers (Australia) y Kolesnikov (Rusia). En 200m pecho masculino, el australiano Subblety-Cook se ha adjudicado la medalla de oro, seguido de Kamminga (Países Bajos) y Mattsson (Finlandia). En waterpolo, la selección ha conseguido una cómoda victoria ente el último del grupo 16-4. Los españoles no han dado ninguna opción a los kazajos, y cuentan sus partidos por victorias. El siguiente partido será el sábado a las 04:30h ante Australia.
