Twitter launches a live shopping platform that will be released by Walmart

Twitter is interested in shopping as a business path.
The microblogging social network announced on November 22, live shopping, a feature for brands to carry out streaming to promote and sell their products, broadcasts during which users will be able to buy live.

During the 30-minute program there will be special guests and Walmart will offer electronic products, household items, clothing, decoration and much more. To be able to join and interact on the broadcast users will have to use an IOS device or access Twitter from their desktop version. For the time being, it is not known when the function will be implemented on Android.
With live shopping, broadcast viewers will view the banner and purchase tab on the live event page, as well as be part of the conversation by alternating between two menus; that is, they will be able to buy while interacting with other users. You will also be able to participate in posting tweets about what is happening in streaming.
Twitter assures that this sales model through live streaming in its service "gives companies the power to interact with their followers, as well as being a natural way to attract and converse with receptive audiences."
This is not the first time Twitter flirts with a shopping model inside its platform. In July of this year the social network tested a function that allowed companies to incorporate a shopping section at the top of their profiles; at the moment it is only available in the United States.
