Black Friday recovers its rhythm in streets and screens
Guayaquil
Commercial houses and stores offer discounts of up to 70%, in order to attract more customers. Online shopping grows and strengthens
Guayaquil recovered its identity: commerce, and the most representative pictures are the scenarios that have been repeated in different sectors, for several days, and that show that this Black Friday, as reported by Diario EXPRESO , aims to close 2021 with the recovery seal. Sales have not only been felt strongly, similar to those before the pandemic landed, in stores or commercial houses, but also through digital screens.
And it is that the restrictions imposed to stop the spread of the virus, more than a year ago and that kept the population confined, pushed consumers to trust more in online purchases. Today this trend is increasing and strengthening, as citizens prefer not to leave home and wait for that product that they have longed for so much during the year to arrive, of course, now with discounts.
Black Friday opens the door to a year-end of recovery
But the color and movement also stands out in the main streets and the facades of the premises. Everyone is rowing in the same direction and the offers, whether for electrical appliances, clothing, footwear or jewelry, range from 20% to 70%. The purpose is to capture the attention of the clientele, who during the last few days has been visiting the businesses and comparing the characteristics until deciding on the final purchase.
“This time I will take the opportunity to renovate furniture, since last year I could not do it. Digital devices catch my attention and I'll be watching over the weekend if prices drop further,” emphasizes Gladys Silva, an accountant from Guayaquil, stressing that she has already been monitoring promotions since the first week of November.
For the economist Jorge Calderón, who advises users to compare and verify the offers so as not to get carried away by the impulse to buy, stresses that this "fear" of buying online has already been lost, and argues that this Friday Black responds to a sociological theme, as it aims to "recover" what was lost.
“We are close to 2019 levels and e-commerce has grown impressively. The impulse to buy exists and somehow you have to take advantage of the offers”, adds Calderón.
A similar comment is made by the economic and financial consultant Christian Idrovo, stressing that this date has a revitalizing economic impact for consumers, without losing sight of the fact that the country is recovering. And this is why, he emphasizes, it is a good time for users to make a good purchase and alternatives that optimize their costs. "It is important to take advantage of them and generate a real campaign," says the also economist, who suggests users to have a clear budget base.
Indie: Back to black, discounts from another dimension
The gifts that will be delivered at Christmas and New Year's Eve are the ones that, likewise, predominate on the list of many people who find it ideal to do them for this date. One of them is Sugey Macías, a nurse, who has in mind to renew her closet and that of her little daughter. At the same time, he will take the opportunity to buy the gifts that he will deliver in the classic meetings with his friends and co-workers.
“I am not going to waste the discounts that I have seen in many stores. The country needs to recover and it also depends on us, and since Guayaquil is on fire, I will go to shopping centers and see the trends on the platforms”, the young woman points out.
